ImageOn June 24, 2010, PamCham appealed for Good and Effective Governance from the incoming administration of Governor Elect Lilia “Baby” Pineda and re-elected Vice Governor Joseller “Yeng” Guiao. PamCham President Rene Romero acknowledged that Good Governance alone is not enough to catapult the province to progress and development. It must transcend and translate to Effective Governance in order for the benefits to trickle down and be felt by the kapampangans.

Pangilinan who is also the facilitator of the Learning Sessions, now on its fifth consecutive series.On May 18 at Max’s Restaurant, Villa Del Sol, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – PamCham’s fifth learning session focused on the finer points and intricacies in extending first rate customer service. Attended by 70 participants from 22 member companies, the workshop outlined briefly the complexities of handling customers and ensuring that they leave the establishment satisfied enough to want to become product endorsers themselves.

ImageOn May 13, 2010, at the Mimosa Golf and Country Club, PamCham held its 4th Annual Golf Tournament participated by players not only from Pampanga but also from Nueva Ecija and Olongapo. Chairman Levy Laus led the member and guest golf enthusiasts in the tournament which culminated in the awarding ceremony later in the evening at the Mimosa Hilltop Restaurant. A Haima Freema MPV hole in one prize sponsored by the Laus Group provided enough excitement and incentive for the players to gamely try their best at driving the ball into the lucky hole. Unfortunately, no one drove the lucky shot but all the players won a prize in the raffle draw

ImagePamCham held its 24th Kapihan at Apag Marangle, NLEx Lakeshore, Mexico Pampanga. The discussion focused on Tourism Promotion in Pampanga and its effect on business in the province. Ms. Ching Pangilinan of the City of San Fernando Pampanga Tourism Office pointed out that tourism promotion is not just the responsibility of the government. It is critical that the support and assistance of the business sector is present in order for tourism to realize its objective of generating income opportunities for countryside business which consequentially creates employment for the province’s constituents, thereafter propelling the economy forward.

PamCham appeals to the local distribution companies to exhaust all means possible and necessary to address and immediately resolve the power crisis as evidenced by the rotating brownouts which can potentially counteract the unprecedented development realized by the province these past years.
