PamCham’s membership directorate oriented 25 new members into the chamber movement on May 12, 2009, its tenth orientation since 2007. These are Carica Herbal products, RDF Meatshop, Porcelana Face and Body, A. Baluyut Clay, Microtech, Apag Marangle, ABS Shell Station, St. Michael’s College, PMAP, Super Value Inc., YSA Skincare, Aboitiz One, Inc., SFP Gasoline Station, L & G Ceramics, KENMP Realty, Gabriel Trading & Security Solutions, Traveldotcom Travel & Tours, Therese Salon & Spa, FTC Leasing & Finance, AERLAND Realty, ADG Iron works, AL-RRJHI Group of Companies, One Crowne Realty & Devt., Emy’s Sweets & Pastries, and Invictus/RBW.
The new members will be formally inducted on May 28, 2009 during PamCham’s 26th General Membership Meeting at Carworld Showroom, Jose Abad Santos Avenue, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. Guest Speaker for the GMM will be Amb. Cesar Bautista of the National Competitiveness Council.
Orientation committee chairman, Mr. Cristopher Cura of Asia United Bank, introduced an interactive approach to the orientation presentation. Previous orientations reserved audience interactions during the question and answer (Q & A) portion in the program, but this time Mr. Cura engaged their participation even during the presentation proper. This innovative approach compels the new members to actually embrace and embody the essence and significance of the chamber movement for their own business and at the same time appreciate its impact on the economy in general.
Extensively discussed during the orientation was the benefit every member gains out of joining the chamber. Cleverly, Orientation Chairman Cris posed an unexpected question secondary to the usual “What’s in it for me?” query. He asked them in return “what value can they contribute to PamCham?” considering that the chamber is them and the chamber’s credibility and integrity subsequently reflects on them as well. This made each potential member realize their importance since they essentially become an integral part of the organization.
